The fortress is located at the north-east bottom of
the Geyazan Mountain, the symbol of Gazakh region. The
fortress rests against the steepy side of the mountain and
has wide walls made from local stones. There are seven
towers on the walls and people call the fortress "Yeddiburchlu
Gala" (7-tower Fortress). The entrance to the fortress, i.e. its
gate is situated between two towers in the south. The walls
and some towers are relatively well preserved until today. The
remains of building with different purposes and water
collecting installations are found inside the fortress.
According to specialists the fortress was erected in the
early Middle Ages.
