The famous Azerbaijani poet Samad Vurgun
called spring Damjily the eighth wonder of the world and the
first miracle of Azerbaijan. Damjily is a picturesque area
and a favorite vacation spot. It is the main holiday site in
the district, and this place is definitely shown to guests.
With the onset of summer, dozens of Gazakh residents come
here to picnic. Damjili used to be a shrine.
Spring is located at the foot of the mountain Avey in the
cave. A carpet from plants has been woven on the rock. Water
dripping from it is drinkable. Clear and pure cold water is
dripping from huge 1000 metre high rocks and become a spring
by collecting in a bowl down below.
The word "Damjili" means "dripping".
