During archaeological excavations in 2009 close to the Chayli village of Gazakh region
the ancient settlement was discovered. The settlement
is related to the Late Bronze Age - Early Iron Age.
Archaeologists discovered the remains of structures from a raw brick and pebble, jugs, ceramics, ornaments, the stone implements related to the end of II - I millennium BC. All of these indicate the wide extension of agriculture and cattle breeding in the given territory.
